Inspired by a childhood experience watching my Uncle Pat repair bicycles for kids in our neighborhood, the vision for Northeast Community Cycles was born. What started as a small initiative in my garage has transformed into a community-driven movement. In 2012, with the support of the Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club, Northeast Community Cycles became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing refurbished bicycles to those in need.
Northeast Community Cycles has proudly given away over 7,500 bicycles, empowering individuals and families in Fairfield County, CT. Each bicycle comes with a new helmet, ensuring safety and mobility for those who need it most.
