Our Story
The Northampton Arts Council, established in 1980, serves as the official cultural council of Northampton, Massachusetts. Initially formed by an all-volunteer board, it has evolved to support a diverse array of arts initiatives, granting over $500,000 to local artists and organizations. The Council is known for producing significant community events such as First Night Northampton and the Silver Chord Bowl, while advocating for the vibrant arts community in the city.
