In 2002, local leaders established the North Shore Land Alliance to combat these challenges and safeguard the land for future generations.
Since 2003, the Land Alliance and its partners have successfully protected over 1,400 acres of vital land, contributing significantly to the conservation of Long Island's natural resources and habitats.
