Our Story
The North Plains Senior Center has been a cornerstone of the community since its incorporation in 1974. Originally remodeled from an Atlantic Richfield Gas Station, the Center has undergone several renovations to better serve the needs of local seniors. Since opening its doors in 1977, the Center has provided nutritious meals, health services, and a variety of social activities for the elderly population in North Plains. Pre-pandemic, the Center offered blood pressure checks, foot care services, tax assistance, day trips, exercise classes, and much more. The Center thrives on the generosity of the community, relying on donations from seniors, local businesses, and fundraising events to sustain its operations. With minimal government support, the Center seeks to replenish its resources to resume vital services and activities for seniors.
