Founded in 1990 by renowned basket maker Jackie Abrams, North Country Studio Workshops began as a response to the lack of advanced-level workshop programs in New England. The inaugural event took place in 1993 at Shaker Village, Enfield, New Hampshire. Since 1995, NCSW has hosted a series of workshops at Bennington College, bringing together exceptional instructors and fostering a vibrant creative community.
