Our Story

Founded in 1945 by wildlife enthusiasts, the North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF) has been at the forefront of wildlife conservation and habitat restoration in North Carolina. With a rich history rooted in advocacy for science-based wildlife management, NCWF continues to unite a diverse community dedicated to protecting the state's natural resources.

Impact

In 2023, NCWF mobilized 796 volunteers across 57 habitat restoration projects, enhancing local ecosystems by removing invasive species, planting 1,006 native trees and shrubs, and collecting 40,954 pounds of litter.
