Our Story

Founded in 1986 by four parents who lost a child to homicide, the North Carolina Victim Assistance Network (NCVAN) has transformed from a policy-making organization into a vital support system for surviving loved ones of homicide victims and others affected by violent crime. As the only statewide victim service agency in North Carolina, NCVAN provides essential services and advocacy for victims' rights.
