The North Carolina Master Chorale, founded in 1943 as the Raleigh Oratorio Society, stands as the premier semi-professional choir in the region. With a mission to enrich the cultural lives of communities through exceptional choral music, the organization features a large adult Symphonic Choir and a professionally directed Youth Choir.
Providing performance opportunities for avocational singers and developing young talent through its youth choir, the Chorale supports various arts organizations. Recognized for its excellence, it was named the resident choir of the North Carolina Symphony in 2014.
