Our Story
Founded in 1991, the North Carolina Legal Education Assistance Foundation (NC LEAF) was established to recruit and retain public interest attorneys. These dedicated professionals often face significant law school debt, making it challenging to serve the public effectively. Since its inception, NC LEAF has provided over $7 million in loan repayment assistance to more than 1,400 public service attorneys.
