North Carolina Education Corps (NCEC) was established in 2020 to address the educational challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. With schools shuttered and learning shifted online, NCEC stepped in to provide high-impact tutoring that helps K-5 students thrive. By empowering caring adults to support students, NCEC is committed to fostering educational excellence across the state.

Making a Lasting Impact

To date, NCEC has positively impacted thousands of K-5 students, primarily in Title I schools, through dedicated tutoring efforts. Over 1,000 tutors have contributed to the academic growth of students in more than 230 schools across 30 districts.
