Our Story
The Land Loss Prevention Project was founded in 1982 by the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers to combat the alarming loss of Black-owned land in North Carolina. Since its incorporation in 1983, the organization has expanded its mission to provide legal support and assistance to financially distressed and limited resource farmers and landowners across the state.
