Empowering Children Through the Arts

Founded in 2005, North Carolina Arts in Action Inc (NC AIA) is dedicated to transforming the lives of children through participation in the arts. As an associate of the National Dance Institute, NC AIA employs award-winning teaching methodologies to inspire children to develop discipline, self-confidence, and a love for the performing arts. By nurturing the whole child, NC AIA engages students in dance activities that challenge their minds, strengthen their bodies, and enhance their self-esteem.

Making a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, NC AIA has reached over 18,400 children, currently serving 1,500 students annually across 22 programs in 16 schools throughout Chatham, Wake, Durham, and Orange counties. The organization’s in-school performance residencies create a level playing field for all children to succeed.
