Our Story

The North Canton Playhouse was founded in 1976 by Leonard and Mary McManaway, starting with its first production, 'Mame,' at Hoover High School. Initially a small 40-seat theatre, it has grown significantly over the years, developing community outreach programs and moving to a larger space in 1997. Governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, the Playhouse produces a variety of productions each year, serving both youth and adults in the community.

Impact

The North Canton Playhouse provides quality entertainment and educational opportunities, enriching the local community through theatrical arts and outreach programs.
