Our Story

The North American Butterfly Association was founded in 1992 to promote the conservation of butterflies and their habitats. Through habitat creation, restoration, and public education, NABA strives to create a world where butterflies thrive, benefiting both nature and people.

Impact

NABA has built the largest database of butterfly sightings and population abundances globally, conducting citizen scientist-led butterfly counts across North America. Thousands of butterfly gardens have been certified, fostering a strong community dedicated to butterfly conservation.

Why Donate?

Your donation supports critical pollinator conservation efforts, combating habitat destruction and ensuring the survival of butterfly populations. Contributions enable NABA to create and restore habitats, monitor butterfly populations, and educate communities about the vital role butterflies play in our ecosystem.
