Our Story
The Virtue Center, originally founded as the Norman Alcohol Information Center in 1972 by Father Richard 'Dick' Virtue, has a long-standing commitment to supporting individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. Over the years, the organization has evolved, becoming the first outpatient treatment center in Oklahoma funded by the Department of Mental Health in 1975. In 2017, it rebranded to honor its founder and moved into a new facility in 2023, designed to promote healing and well-being.
Impact
Each year, The Virtue Center provides life-saving education, treatment, and recovery services to approximately 2,000 individuals and their families, regardless of their ability to pay. The organization is dedicated to restoring broken relationships and fostering positive changes in the lives of its clients and the community.
