Our Story

In 1975, Bobbie Knopf and Joyce Slaughter recognized the need for post-high school options for students with special needs in North Atlanta. With the support of NFL player Tommy Nobis, they established the Tommy Nobis Center in 1977, dedicated to providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Impact

Since its inception, the Tommy Nobis Center has empowered over 25,000 individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve independence and success in the workplace.
