Our Story

In 1975, Bobbie Knopf and Joyce Slaughter recognized a significant gap in post-high school options for students with special needs in North Atlanta. With the support of NFL player Tommy Nobis, they established the Tommy Nobis Center in 1977, dedicated to providing innovative employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Since its inception, the Tommy Nobis Center has empowered over 25,000 individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and success in the workplace.
