Our Story

No Dog Left Behind began in 2006 when best friends Jonathan Plesset and Brad Childs combined their passion for flying with their love for animals. After rescuing a bulldog named Monte, they formalized their efforts into a nonprofit organization in 2012, initially named Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team. In 2021, the organization was renamed No Dog Left Behind, reflecting its mission to ensure that no animal is left behind.

Impact

Each year, No Dog Left Behind rescues thousands of animals, providing them with a second chance at life. With over 17,410 animals transported, the organization significantly reduces the number of euthanized animals in shelters by offering free transport services to those in need.
