Nixa Education Foundation

Our Story

The Nixa Education Foundation was established in November 2004, driven by the need for a Comprehensive School Improvement Plan in the Nixa community. In 2007, a dedicated Board of Directors was formed to guide the foundation's mission, leading to the first monthly contributions from Nixa Public School employees and private donors. The foundation's first Annual Education Gala took place in May 2010, celebrating the contributions of those committed to educational excellence.

Through community support, the foundation has successfully raised over $21,930, matched by the Harry Cooper Foundation Supply Company, establishing the Legacy Endowment Fund. To date, NEF has awarded over $160,000 in grants to teachers, enhancing educational opportunities for students and faculty in the Nixa Public School District.
