Nicholtown Child and Family Collaborative

Our Story

The Nicholtown Child and Family Collaborative (NCFC) began in 2012 as the Nicholtown Early Learning Taskforce, initiated by Representative Chandra Dillard to restore Head Start services to the community. Following a comprehensive assessment in 2014, NCFC was established to address the needs of children and families in Nicholtown. In 2023, the organization expanded its services and launched the Nurturing Skills for Young Parents program, focusing on family-centered, trauma-informed support.

Impact

NCFC is dedicated to enhancing child, parent, and community outcomes through education, employment, and health initiatives. The Nurturing Parenting Program empowers young parents to develop essential nurturing skills, fostering better parenting practices.
