Empowering Autistic Individuals

Founded in 2011, The Nicholas Center is dedicated to creating innovative programs and services that empower Autistic individuals to learn, live, and work within their communities. Co-Founders Stella L. Spanakos, Nicole Ferrara, and Patrick Bardsley recognized the pressing need for meaningful opportunities for young adults with special needs after graduation. By developing a community-driven, person-centered program model, The Nicholas Center aims to create a self-sustaining and replicable framework that significantly enhances the lives of people with Autism.

Making a Lasting Impact

Currently, The Nicholas Center supports over 145 individuals with Autism daily, providing essential pathways to connected and fulfilling futures through critical life skills, vocational training, and community engagement. With 32% of participants employed and 39% enrolled in work training programs, the center is making strides in fostering independence and inclusion.
