Nia Imani Family, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Belinda Pittman to address the urgent need for transitional housing for homeless and at-risk mothers in Milwaukee. This organization is dedicated to empowering families through holistic and transformative programs rooted in Afrocentric principles, fostering unity, healing, and community building.

For over 29 years, Nia Imani Family, Inc. has provided a safe and supportive environment for up to 17 mothers and their children at a time. The organization has successfully helped many women regain independence and reconnect with their children, breaking the cycles of substance abuse, violence, and homelessness.
