Our Story
In Liberia, the journey of Inez Wondeh began in a time when educational opportunities for young women were scarce. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the societal expectation for girls to marry young rather than pursue education. However, a group of local missionaries changed her life by teaching her and other girls how to read and write. After escaping the devastating civil war that ravaged Liberia for 15 years, Inez became a successful businesswoman and CEO of BASS Medical Group. Her passion for education was reignited when she learned about the struggles of rural Liberian students still affected by the war's aftermath.
In collaboration with the Morweh Foundation, Inez established the first school in rural Liberia, leading to the creation of the Ngozi Educational and Healthcare Foundation in 2018. This foundation embodies her belief that investing in education is crucial for the development of underprivileged countries. Inez's father once said, "Education is what will free black Africa," a philosophy that continues to guide her mission.
