Founded in 2013 by composer and conductor Peter Askim, The Next Festival of Emerging Artists is dedicated to advancing contemporary music and fostering cross-disciplinary artistic creation. This multi-week festival offers performances, individual lessons, coaching, and masterclasses, nurturing the next generation of artists passionate about 21st-century collaboration.
Through initiatives like Next Fest Connects, the festival has presented over 75 guest artists, including Pulitzer, Grammy, and MacArthur honorees, creating a vibrant community inspired by music during challenging times.
