Our Story
Next Chapter Ministries began in 1991 when Andy Kilen volunteered in the Olmsted County Jail, leading Bible studies. It became clear that many inmates needed support after their release. With two-thirds of released prisoners rearrested within three years, the need for a structured support system was evident. After much prayer and planning, the Network For Life group was formed, connecting released prisoners with church members in a supportive environment. Officially established as a nonprofit in 1999, Next Chapter Ministries has expanded to include three residential houses for men, a non-residential and residential house for women, and a dedicated program for children called Little Legacies. Each home addresses the trauma experienced by participants, providing a holistic approach to recovery and reintegration into society.
