Founded in 1969, the Newtown Youth Basketball Association has been a cornerstone of youth sports in Newtown, Connecticut, for over 50 years. What began as a small program with just a couple of teams has grown into a thriving organization serving hundreds of young athletes each year. NYBA is dedicated to providing young athletes with opportunities to play basketball, learn about teamwork, and experience the joy of competition.
With nearly 900 participants annually, NYBA has touched the lives of thousands of Newtown's youth over the past five decades. Many alumni have gone on to play at the high school and collegiate levels, including players who've competed for UConn, Harvard, and other prestigious programs.
