Our Story

The Newton Food Pantry, established in 1983, is the oldest and largest food pantry in Newton. Powered by dedicated volunteers, it aims to alleviate food insecurity by providing supplemental food and personal care products to community members in need. The organization operates with a strong belief that no one deserves to go hungry and that everyone has a right to nutritious food.

Impact

In FY2024, the Newton Food Pantry distributed over 85,500 bags of groceries and personal care items to 910 households, impacting more than 2,500 individuals. With over 3,650 residents living in poverty, the pantry plays a crucial role in addressing the urgent need for food assistance in the community.
