The Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard program, established in 1984, has grown from just 50 participants to over 1350 annually. This beloved youth education program not only teaches essential water safety skills but also nurtures future lifeguards, with many instructors having started as Junior Lifeguards themselves.
Each year, the program successfully trains and educates over 1350 youth, many of whom pursue careers in lifeguarding.
