New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) is dedicated to advocating for equality in the moving image industry. Founded in 1977, this organization supports women at every stage of their careers, providing essential resources and a vibrant community.

Making an Impact

Since 1995, NYWIFT has preserved nearly 150 American-made films by and about women through its Women’s Film Preservation Fund, while also offering completion funding to women filmmakers.
