Our Story
The New York City Police Foundation was established in 1971 as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the NYPD. For over 50 years, the Foundation has funded initiatives that safeguard the city and strengthen its communities.
Impact
With over $3 million in rewards through the Crime Stoppers Program, the Foundation has helped solve more than 5,600 violent crimes, including nearly 1,600 murders. The Gun Stop Program has led to over 7,800 arrests and the removal of over 5,000 illegal weapons since 2001.
