The NYC Love Kitchen was founded in December 1987 by Dr. Rev. Tom Mahairas and Mr. Jewel Jones to combat drug addiction, homelessness, and poverty in Inwood and Washington Heights. This organization is dedicated to addressing food insecurity and hunger in New York City.
Over the past 38 years, the NYC Love Kitchen has provided over 6.7 million meals to the community, significantly alleviating food insecurity for more than 65,000 households.
