Our Story

The New Waverly Public Library was founded by Marie Underwood, a dedicated former English teacher and principal. With the support of the community, the library began in two small rooms of City Hall and has grown significantly since its incorporation in 1987. In 2008, the library relocated to a new building, further enhancing its ability to serve the informational, educational, and recreational needs of the community.
