Our Story
New Life Academy of Excellence was founded by a dedicated group of parents and community leaders in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Their vision was to create a world-class charter school that would provide a safe and nurturing environment for students. Under the leadership of Alphonsa Foward, Jr., the school was established with a focus on fostering independent and creative thinking through an integrated curriculum. In 2006, the Georgia Board of Education approved New Life Academy as the first start-up charter school in Gwinnett County, serving over 200 students in grades K-3. Today, the academy has grown to serve 670 students, expanding its offerings to include grades K-8.
