Our Story

Established in 2014, New Journey Community Outreach, Inc. (NJCO) arose from the closing of New Journey United Methodist Church, which had been a cornerstone of social outreach in Southwest Reading for over fifty years. NJCO has taken on the vital role of continuing the food and clothing services that were once provided by the church, ensuring that low-income individuals and families in Reading, PA, receive the support they need. With a high poverty rate in the area, NJCO is dedicated to upholding the legacy of compassion and service that has defined this community for decades.
