Our Story

Founded in 2007, the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance (NJOA) emerged as a powerful voice for sportsmen and women in New Jersey. The organization was born out of a need to combat legislation threatening freshwater fishing, hunting, and trapping rights. With a unified front, NJOA successfully rallied over 1.2 million anglers, hunters, and trappers, demonstrating their significant influence in state politics. This collective effort led to a historic victory against well-funded opponents, inspiring NJOA to advocate for sustainable resource management and outdoor rights.

Impact

NJOA has successfully championed eight bills into law, including critical measures like Sunday Bow Hunting and the establishment of the New Jersey Angling and Hunting Conservation Caucus (NJAHCC). The organization continues to protect the rights of outdoor enthusiasts while promoting a diverse conservation agenda in Trenton.
