Our Story

Founded in 1985, New Jersey Orators, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit organization that prepares youth for college and future careers. Established by a group of concerned African-American executives, NJO began with just 16 students in Somerset and has since expanded to over 200 students statewide, addressing the learning achievement gap in the community.

NJO students consistently demonstrate remarkable educational outcomes and improved self-esteem compared to their peers. They excel in honor courses and outperform their counterparts across various educational measures.
