Our Story
The New Jersey Crime Victims' Law Center (NJCVLC) was founded in 1992 by Ann and Richard Pompelio, who turned their personal tragedy into a mission to help others. After losing their son, Tony, to violent crime, they recognized the urgent need for legal support for victims navigating the criminal justice system. As the first and oldest pro bono legal rights enforcement program for crime victims in the United States, NJCVLC has set a precedent for similar initiatives nationwide.
