Our Story
The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA) was founded in 1872 by a group of concerned citizens to combat the inhumane treatment of work animals. As one of the first ten SPCAs established in the United States, the NHSPCA has evolved to provide a wide range of services, including animal sheltering, adoption, humane education, and cruelty investigations.

Each year, the NHSPCA saves nearly 2,500 unwanted, neglected, or abused animals, offering them medical care, shelter, and a chance for adoption into loving homes.
