Our Story
Founded in 1971 by Bruce Stewart and Jim Newlin, New Garden Friends School began with a vision to create a transformative educational experience rooted in Quaker values. Starting with just 60 students in a church basement, the school has blossomed into a vibrant community that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Over the years, NGFS has expanded its facilities and programs, including the establishment of an Upper School in 2005, ensuring a nurturing environment for students from preschool through high school.
