About New Freedom Farm

Founded in 2016 by veteran and retired forensic nurse investigator Lois Dawn Magill, New Freedom Farm is dedicated to helping veterans and first responders heal from trauma through the therapeutic benefits of equine interaction. Located on 26 serene acres in Buchanan, Virginia, the farm is home to a variety of equines, including rescued wild mustangs and mini donkeys, creating a unique environment for healing.

New Freedom Farm provides a safe haven for veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use. Through therapeutic interactions with horses and engaging in farm chores, participants learn to rebuild trust, improve communication, and develop social skills.
