Our Story

Founded in 1978 by Rev. Dr. Noah S. Martin and Rev. John Manges, New Day, Inc. began its journey in a humble basement in Johnstown, PA. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital community resource, now operating from a dedicated facility that includes a gymnasium. Governed by a committed Board of Directors and supported by local churches, New Day focuses on fostering positive relationships and preventing destructive behaviors among troubled and at-risk youth.

For over 40 years, New Day, Inc. has been dedicated to serving the Greater Johnstown area, providing Biblical counseling and Christ-centered programs that address the spiritual, emotional, social, and life-skill development needs of youth and families.
