Founded in 1992, New Century Chamber Orchestra is a unique conductorless ensemble of 19 talented string players from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Collaborating on musical decisions enhances commitment and precision in performances. Under the leadership of Music Director Daniel Hope since the 2018-2019 season, the orchestra has expanded its repertoire and commissioned new works, bridging historical and contemporary music.
For over three decades, New Century Chamber Orchestra has connected audiences with the joy of music. With ticket sales covering less than 25% of costs, the organization relies on donations to sustain its innovative programming and support local musicians.
