Our Story
The New Castle Senior Center has been a cornerstone for seniors in the greater New Castle area since 1970. In 2001, it became a private nonprofit organization, launching a vigorous Capital Campaign to secure a permanent meeting place for active older adults. The center opened its doors on March 23, 2005, in the historic Booker T. Washington School, and expanded in May 2007 with a 6,000 square foot addition, enhancing facilities for seniors.
