In 1992, seven men gathered at the Badlands Saloon in Las Vegas, igniting a passion to bring gay rodeo to Nevada. This vision led to the formation of the Southern Nevada Gay Rodeo Association, now known as the Nevada Gay Rodeo Association. The organization is dedicated to preserving the western lifestyle and producing exciting gay rodeo events, all while raising funds for local charitable organizations.
Over the years, NGRA has raised significant funds for local charities, including the Nevada Aids Project and the Sin Sity Sisters AIDS Drug Assistance Program. Recognized as a leading charitable group, NGRA has one of the largest active chapters within the International Gay Rodeo Association.
