Nevada County Housing Development Corporation
EIN: 94-2799613 · Auburn, CA
Our Story
In 1992, a dedicated group from the National Alliance for Mental Illness - Placer County recognized the urgent need for housing for their loved ones facing mental health challenges. This initiative led to a fruitful partnership with the Placer County Mental Health Department, expanding into a network of homes by 1995. In 2003, AMI Housing, Inc. was established as a 501c3 organization, committed to housing and supporting vulnerable residents in the Sierra Region.
Impact
Currently, over 400 individuals who were homeless or at risk of homelessness find shelter and support through the collaborative efforts of AMIH and NCHDC.
