Our Story
The Neurohospitalist Society (NHS) was established in 2011 to unify neurohospitalists—physicians dedicated to the care of hospitalized patients with neurological disorders. This field emerged in the late 1990s to address the urgent need for specialists in emergency departments, leading to the creation of full-time neurohospitalist roles. As the field has evolved, NHS has recognized the vital role these specialists play in delivering high-quality care to neurological inpatients.
