The NEMS Lacrosse Club, founded in 1997 by Jim & Lisa McHugh, began with a mission to provide local high school seniors the chance to compete in a summer lacrosse tournament. Initially focused on Harford County, the club expanded in 2007 to include girls from various locations, growing from a single team to eight teams organized by graduation year.
Since its inception, over 200 NEMS players have successfully transitioned to play at Division 1 colleges, while another 200 have received academic scholarships to compete at Division 2 or 3 colleges.
