Our Story

The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard was founded in 2012 to combat food insecurity in the James A. Garfield school district. Serving residents in Garrettsville, Freedom, Nelson, and parts of Hiram Township, this organization provides vital monthly food distributions to families in need.

Impact

In the past two years, NGCC has purchased over 92,500 lbs of food at discounted rates, significantly alleviating food insecurity by supplying essential groceries and personal hygiene products to hundreds of families.
