Nellie's Catwalk for Kids

Our Story

In 2007, Nellie was inspired to make a difference after losing her grandmother, Goldie, to cancer. What began as a one-time fashion show fundraiser quickly transformed into a mission to support children battling cancer. The first show featured nine-year-old Eden, who was fighting cancer for the second time. Eden's excitement for the next event ignited Nellie's passion, leading to the establishment of Nellie's Catwalk for Kids in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Over the years, Nellie engaged with pediatric cancer families to understand their unique challenges. This led to the creation of three main pillars of service: financial support, emotional support, and events for play. Renamed Nellie's Champions for Kids, the organization continues to adapt and grow, providing essential support to families affected by pediatric cancer.

Impact

In 2023, NC4K distributed over $120,000 in financial support to families in need. The demand for emotional support has surged, especially since the pandemic, with a 29% increase in gifts provided for emotional well-being from 2022 to 2023. NC4K is dedicated to ensuring that families can focus on their child's health and happiness.
