Chronic disability and homelessness lead to tragic outcomes, with many individuals dying on the streets. In Northeast Louisiana, over half of the homeless population are families, and one-third are children under 18. PTSD and post-service transitions contribute to this crisis, affecting local school systems that serve hundreds of homeless students each year.
